Coalition Expands Cyber Risk Prevention Through Wirespeed Deal

Insights Desk, November 10, 2025

Coalition Inc., a cybersecurity insurance provider, announced acquiring Wirespeed Inc., a managed detection and response startup, for an undisclosed sum.

Wirespeed, established in July 2024, helps businesses identify and address cyberthreats by providing an automated MDR platform that shortens the time between threat discovery and verdict, measured in milliseconds as opposed to hours or days.

Wirespeed’s platform generates consistent, repeatable threat determinations in as low as 1.8 seconds by combining probabilistic artificial intelligence with a conditional logic algorithm.

The business emphasizes that in a threat landscape where attackers move quickly, the time between discovery and response can determine whether a breach becomes a full-blown incident. This is why the speed of threat detection to verdict is crucial to its product.

The company places a strong emphasis on signal clarity and noise reduction, asserting that by removing non-actionable detections and concentrating on high-confidence events, the platform reduces alert noise by 99.99%.

According to Wirespeed, its Automated MDR uses ChatOps connections with Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, and SMS to effectively and quickly resolve complex situations.

To defend against rapidly evolving cyberthreats, the acquisition will integrate Coalition’s range of cyber risk management products and coverage with Wirespeed’s MDR.

To provide more organizations with round-the-clock protection, Wirespeed MDR will integrate data from Coalitions Active Data Graph, including cyber claims data and external attack surface monitoring.

“The acquisition of Wirespeed represents the next phase of Coalition’s mission to protect the unprotected,”

said Coalition Co-founder and Chief Executive Joshua Motta.

“By combining fully automated, rapid managed detection and response with our Active Insurance platform, we’re bringing best-in-class cyber protection to organizations of every size and as a cybersecurity provider whose incentives are directly aligned with our customers in preventing losses, we’re setting a new standard for digital risk prevention.”

Prior to the transaction, Mairs & Power Venture Capital, RNP Capital Advisors, and other private investors contributed to Wirespeed’s sole seed round of an unknown sum in May.
